Internship: Lewis & Clark College

Given that my experiences have all been based in large public institutions, I wanted to experience what life was like at a small private college. My internship at Lewis and Clark College provided me just that. I was able to reflect on the organizational structures at a smaller school and experience wearing multiple hats. Though students who attended summer classes were minimal at Lewis and Clark College, I did get to engage with students during the Student Leadership training. I also enjoyed being able to create a curriculum around training new student leaders and indicate the powerful influence they have over new students. It was a big responsibility. Campus as a small private school was nowhere comparable to campus at a large public institution, this made me appreciate the larger campus culture.
